NEW YORK – COVID-19 VACCINATION PAID LEAVE LAW EXTENDED TO DEC 31, 2023

New York state has extended the requirement for employers to provide COVID-19 vaccination leave for an additional year.  The required 4 hours of paid leave per COVID-19 injection is separate from other leaves and cannot be counted toward sick leave or any other form of paid leave. This requirement applies to both the initial vaccination as well as any booster shots obtained.
