EEOC May Not Require Pay Component Reporting in 2020 for EEO-1

The EEOC required government contractors with 100 or more employees to report compensation and hours worked data points for 2017 and 2018 EEO-1 reporting. This program has not shown any usefulness. Therefore, the EEOC announced that it will halt further collection of pay data during future EEO-1 reporting cycles.

Employers who are required to report, still need to report compensation information from both 2017 and 2018 by September 30. This announcement could mean this will be a one-time effort that may not need to be repeated in 2020.
